Reviews of Deadly Little Secrets the Movie

"...it has some moments and the cast is nice to look at ...." - The Movie Chicks Reviews - May 2003

Should we compare a straight-to-video flick with an Oscar nominee, or should we try to reward a movie that, as far as straight-to-video flicks goes, is not bad at all? Whatever the answer, Deadly Little Secrets, as far as bad flicks goes, is pretty good. But it could have been so much better. Chris Parry

So, on the bright side it's got Dina Meyer, it's got Dina macking on another girl, and . . . Brian McKay

Deadly Little Secrets has a secret. Shhhhhh. It’s a direct to DVD feature. So the only way you can see it is by renting it. Should you? I dunno. It’s a B movie with a B movie plot, but with pretty good technical components. Michael Bell

To be fair, Deadly Little Secret does have a few things going for it, which I will discuss in turn. The biggest problem I have with it, however, is that the writing is so atrociously bad. Dialogue is stilted, characters are walking cliches, and the plot makes bugger-all sense. This is the kind of low-budget straight to video fare that has enough talent and budget that it could have actually been a decent film with a clever, or at least coherent, script. - Hollywood Bitchslap
